Black characters on this show......

Here's hoping they do better with Tyrese. I just don't understand how they can be in the Atlanta area, one of the BLACKEST METROPOLITAN AREAS IN THE COUNTRY, and have so few black characters with depth on the show. They cycle them out rapidly too. Fail AMC. Total fail. It's much better in the comics.

T-dawg replacement couldnt even make 2nd half of the season. So casually racist this show.

Michonne is badass, awesome and everything. But that type of character is extremely annoying. I mean she was the only one this season who met everyone, face to face. And what she does best? Keeps her mouth shut.

One thing I couldnt understand at the end, how did they know Daryl is Merle's brother? And why wasnt Merle there when they captured him?
Anyway, writers having big balls, killing Daryl would piss off some fans.

Great episode, as usual. A lot of action in this season, which is a change from season 2.

- Michonne just became more badass. Killing Penny, despite Philip surrendering pretty much. And then winning the fight against him and coming within seconds of killing him. It was the first time we've seen the Governor look weak and defenceless. Andrea saved his ass. I was hoping Michonne would take them both out, but it wasn't to be.

- Speaking of Andrea, she knows about Penny, the fishtank heads, and that the group is safe. Yet, she still doesn't see the Govorner for what he is. She's taken over Lori's role as the annoying female.

- Back to Michonne. We saw a different side to her before she found out that Penny was a Walker. I think we'll see more of a human side to her in the 2nd half of the season.

- I liked the Shane cameo. He was one of the best characters of the first 2 seasons, and you can see that Rick killing him has had an affect on him, aswell as Lori dying.

- Shame about Oscar. I was beggining to like him. It seems like they can't have 2 black men on the show at the same time.

- The preview to the 2nd half of the season seemed to give somethings away. I won't mention, because it's spoilers, but if you want to know, then check it out. It's fairly obvious.

Good episode.
Shame about Oscar, he was very interesting charachter, I wanted to know more about him.
I'm sick of Andrea and her facial expressions when being with Governor, those parts of show are always boring, shame Michone didn't kill both her and Gov.
I didn't like that part when Rick thought he saw Shane, I thought "not again!".
There's no time for him to lose his mind in such moments.
It was great to get to know that new group headed by Tyrone so I'm looking forward to next episodes!

I agree with those that say character development is often to be desired, but then I guess it's hard to give so many characters adequate screen-time and keep the action going at the same time.

If too much time was spent on character development some people would probably say "OMG it's become so boring. When's somebody gonna die?"

He was the Shane of Love Actually. Moving in on his best friend's wife. Maybe he's part of the reason why I don't like Rick!

Exactly.
Its hard to find the balance and 2nd season was definitely bit too slow.

I didn't see that part. I only just got up when my Mum was watching this scene . Anyway I think he's spunky, although as Rick I think he looked better in the first two seasons .

He's a bit of a douche in that film though and they kinda play it off like it's okay cos "he's in love." It's a pretty good film actually. Better than your average romcom. I'm a sucker for anything with an all-star cast though!

I think Merle should pay for his killing of poor innocent Gargiulo (I looked up his name finally! ). I don't know if he should be killed as his character could add spice (especially if he joins Rick's group) but he should pay, somehow .

Two more days . Episode 9 will play, and then 6 more will follow according to Wikipedia. I guess it would've been a bit dumb to have a standard 12-episode season after this long break. It kinda feels like a whole new season is starting again. At 7 more episodes it almost is .
