Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
An amateur riflewoman shoots into a crowd of people, trying to hit a zombie square in its head?
That alone should make the whole group pissed off. Add in all of the other stuff going on (i.e, misidentifying a zombie, going against direct orders, totally disrespecting their host's rules, and possibly compromising their location) and everyone should be fittin' to string up her dumbass.
I thought the stuff with the well, and the Asian guy and the farmer's daughter having sex in an exposed and unsecured location would be the worst of the fake drama, but this stuff is even more ridiculous. None of these characters act like people anymore.
The random fetch quests are annoying too.

I know. It was pretty ridiculous. This show has such a big fanbase and we want it to be awesome. I really hope they don't squander all of the fans' goodwill.

The thing that's strange is the comics have some awesome material but they're not using it yet and instead are wasting an entire season looking for a girl that nobody cares about at this point while also doing cheesy philosophizing about life and death. There are ways to incorporate themes into a series without making it so obvious and ridiculous.
It's a shame because the first couple of episodes this year were probably the best of the series so I hope that it can rebound later this season.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
Well, Kirkman has always said in his comics that what he intends to portrait is human nature. He's not trying to do the typical gore zombie movie stuff, it's more about how low you can go when you're in a life or death situation. I can see a resemblance to that movie "The Mist", which is based on a Stephen King book I didn't actually read yet.
That's why lately, in the comic books, he's been less about flesh eating and more about life itself (don't want to set any spoilers, so I won't go into further details).
Anyway, I LOVE the comics, and the series has been OK so far. I whish they would just find Sophia and get it over with, though. The whole search parties thing has been extremely slow.
And I need to see Michonne. Like, NOW. She's the best character ever.

I think the pace is moving pretty slowly and the producers are going to see the ratings fall. Even hardcore fans like me are getting just a little bored.

Seriously..
I hope everyone will get eaten by zombies. Except for the redneck guy, he can survive.

No one had thoughts on the last episode? It only airs in Portugal tonight in a couple hours but it was aired a few days ago in other countries I think.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
Last episode was good. Love seeing abandoned suburbs
Got a bit sad when they broke the chicken's legs just to feed them to the walkers in the barn
Andrea and Shane banging in the car The confrontation between Shane and Dale was intense after he sees scratch marks on his neck..Dale has a feeling that Shane did something to Otis and then bringing up in S1 when he had Rick in the cross hairs. Then Shane pretty much saying he would not hesitate to kill him

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
Dale was the highlight of this episode, as well as the confrontation at the end. It was nice to have a bit more action for once, too, with some various walkers although much more subdued than in prior episodes. I think the daughter should have gotten bit at the pharmacy personally, one of the most heartwrenching things in the first season was seeing everyone die and get bit. Very little of that this season.

Finally some scary walker action!
LOL @ Andrea rubbing Shane's bulge in the car. It makes sense. If the world is going to hell, I would fuck as much as possible.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
Lots of confrontation from Dale in the last episode, which was nice to see. He finally gained some respect in my book after he let Andrea's dumb ass walk all over him.
I'm completely past caring what happens to Sophia. In the beginning of the search I was really hoping they found her and she was okay but at this point let's just GTF off this farm. Hershel isn't playing with a full deck of cards and I don't trust him.
Found it hard to believe Daryl would just forgive Andrea for shooting him just like that, or that Rick would be so understanding about Laurie sleeping with Shane. But then again there's a lot of things you have to look past the believability of in TWD.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
Im two episodes behind but should be able to catch up this Sunday with the season 2 halfway point marathon. They are showing from episode 1 to the next new episode and calling it a mid-season finale. Hope its a good one.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
This Sophia thing reminds me of Six Feet Under where they spent 20 million years for Nate's wife
I definitely think Sophia is dead/is a zombie now, I guess that will be the shocking end for the mid-season finale.

Re: The Walking Dead -- Second Season Airs Sunday Nights on AMC
Just watched all the episodes in like 2 days I was crying like a baby at the family reunion between Rick and his wife+kid in season one This season gravitating around the search of the girl is kinda killing the show a bit, one episode - fine, two episodes - bearable, but how more are gonna be about finding this kid, I literally want to go there and blow her brains out just to get it over with!
