The good news is all those players are in poor form.
Unlike players Ash played this year like Vinci and Tatishvili who are in the form of their lives, Kvitova, BMS who was in good form before getting injured.

She's never beaten a top 100 player so it might be a big ask but I'd love to see her beat atleast one of them.

^ True but I will not really hold it against her at this point . I doubt she will one during Hopman Cup but she will do her best.

^ In 1999 a 16 y/o Jelena Dokic made a name for herself at HC. After being beaten by Amanda Coetzer she smacked Sanchez-Vicario, Testud and Asa Carlsson (I think) to lead Australia for their only win at the event. She partnered another 'bad-boy' of Oz tennis, Mark Phillipousis.
A few similarities here. Most probably it ends here, but one can dream that Ash may go on a Jelena-run and sweep all before her..... lol

Was the first Hopman Cup I ever watched. Always exciting seeing young up and comers and Dokic wasn't the only one. A young unknown Roger Federer played in that tournament as well, and it was the first time I really took notice of him. Followed Fed closely from that point onwards.
