The exact tournament's name was "British Covered Court Championships", not to be confused with the "London Covered Court Championships" of following years, also played at Queen's Club.

I have found that Mrs Eustace Smith is the married name of Maude Delano-Osborne.
The Smith winner here is another player: Mrs Sydney Smith, of Ottawa, that was also runner-up in 1892, 1893 and 1896

Thanks Jimbo-all aded!

Note that I use Maude Osborne rather than Maude Delano-Osborne. While I recognize that Maude Delano Osborne was her full name, contemporary sources are almost unanimous in using Miss M Osborne, or at most Miss M.D Osborne.

Well now I've found enough references to her as Maude Delano-Osborne to change my mind.

I got ahold of American Lawn Tennisvolume II for this year and am mining it. I added several complete results for events and plan to finish it off this week.
