If Gise decides to play, Argentina will breeze through, specially with Canada not being there. But if Gisela, as she usually does, decides she's too good for Fed Cup, then it'll be much tougher.
There's a rumour that Mariana Díaz Oliva will be Argentina's new captain, so maybe she'll convince Gise of playing
Hopefully this'll be played in Córdoba, Santa Fe, or some city other than Buenos Aires, where the crowds are decent and the stands are not empty.

Re: America Zone I 2011
Is the best team ARG could've made according to what rankings say. Hope they can easily win all the series.

Re: America Zone I 2011
I thought Bettina was calling Paula. But Milu is a good choice too.

Re: America Zone I 2011
It would be nice if another country got a chance at the World Group Play-Offs. This event has long been dominated by Canada, now when Argentina relegates it sends Dulko and hosts it! Good luck Paraguay and Colombia

Thank god. But to be fair Dulko said in the past that she will only be again in the team if she was called along other profesional players, not juniors. Flor Molinero is basicly replacing Jozami. And then is Mery, too. I think she expects at least a regular top 100 as a team mate. She thought she had that when Salerni returned and was 65. But it was a glimpse.
Its like Sweden with Sofia, who waited for Johanna. Its not that the team should depend so much of her (the first player), it desperately needs a second name.
But seriously, latinamerican tennis isnt delivering competition. Even between countries. Colombia is the only one, besides Argentina, that has some chances in the zone. Then, without RoRo is almost impossible for Vero alone to do something. Same goes to Brazil and ACD. It will take 2/3 seasons for girls like Vero, Camila, Bianca to win rankings. In the case that they can do that.
