Re: Ofri Lankri
It was her second ITF final (see page 1) but her first title
This will put her next week at a CH of about #730.
It remains to be seen whether she'll try playing more than 2-3 months a year.

Re: Ofri Lankri
ITF $10,000 in Greece
Singles semifinal:
Ofri Lankri (ISR) (5) defeated Nuria Parrizas-Diaz (ESP) (8 ) 7-5 6-2.
Deniz Khazaniuk (ISR) defeated Maria Sakkari (GRE) 5-7 6-2 6-2.
Lankri and Khazaniuk will play one against each other in the singles final.
When was the last time that two Israelis played against each other in a final outside of Israel?

Re: Ofri Lankri
Ofri loses in the final.
Ximena HERMOSO (MEX) (1) defeated Ofri LANKRI (ISR) (5) 4-6 6-4 6-2
Out of 4 finals she has reached so far in her career, she only won 1, and when she loses it's always a 3 setter or a close score.

Re: Ofri Lankri
Finally playing her first match of the year (still don't know what was the inactivity cause), in a 10K in Antalya, she took a total of one game off a 24 y.o. German player ranked #455.
She'll scheduled to play a couple more 10Ks there over the next two weeks, so hopefully she'll shake off the rust and do better in those.

Re: Ofri Lankri
After that first bad result,
She rounded up some points, reaching the 2nd round and the QFs in 10ks in Turkey, and this Monday she's expected to reach a new high ranking of about #600

Re: Ofri Lankri
When Shahar Peer was 20 she reached a GS QF... I don't see Lankri going anywhere, except home sooner or later.
