It's been a long time since we had a serious competition for #2 spot between Polish players With Ula coming back from the injury, Marta slumping, there is a room for Kasia Piter and Magda Linette, who seem to be on a winning track.
I used projected rankings from TBE's thread in the poll.
What do you think?

I think Ula can do this and finish 2010 around #100. Furthermore she will play and gain points in WTA tournaments and Magda, Kasia will most probably play mainly ITFs (maybe the quallies of indoor tournaments like Linz, Luxembourg and Moscow). Marta? Too inconsistent I think.

Linette, 'cause Domachowska will lose her points from US Open last year she will be out of top200, and Magda with her points from Versmold can be around top230.

Ula can enter 5 more tournaments with SE, if she doesn't start scoring some major points she will be out of top-200 for good and will have to start hoping for DA to WTA qualies. The points system is weird these days in my opinion... You get 50pts for winning a 25K and 70pts for a QF of a WTA 220K. While Linette seems to be easily winning those 25K's, at the moment Ula seems to be a long way from a consistent WTA quarterinalist.

Domachowska and Ula have got a shot if they find brilliant form for US-OPEN, which I don't think is very likely.

I will give an edge to Magda, especially as she's not defending any points till the end of the year. It would be a huge turnaround

With Piter and Linette winning their respective 25K's today, they have extended their lead even further.

Still a long way for Ula, especially that Piter and Linette are likely to score quite a few points in the late summer/autumn ITF season. It's going to be a great fight! If Marta pulls it together, we might have 5 players in top-200 for the first time....EVER ?
