Re: Alexandra Artamonova
Alex plays in Russia again this week, 50k Kazan this time.
R1: Alexandra Artamonova (RUS) d. (wc)Ekaterina Yashina (RUS) 61 61
Alex visit's the bakery again, but she's selling this time. That's a good win, and a valuable 10 points collected.

Re: Alexandra Artamonova
Lost in R2 to 4th seed 06 46. At least she only ate one bagel this time?
She needs a break through.

Re: Alexandra Artamonova
I followed the match, and she was up *2-0 in the second. The second seemed more even that the first.
Good WTA debut Didn't quite sneak into the doubles draw though

Re: Alexandra Artamonova
^ Donna went on to reach the final
Artie is back this week in Israel, 25k Netanya.
R1: Alexandra Artamonova (RUS) d. (Q)Francesca Stephenson (GBR) 61 75
Got the important 8 points. She's defending a bit over the next couple of weeks, so that's an important win. Anna Schmiedlova next. Try your best

Re: Alexandra Artamonova
75K Dubai qualies.
Artie had a great couple of rounds. First, she upset #6 Irina Buryachok, 62 36 64. Then she double-breadsticked Nicole Rottman.
She now faces #2 Cristina Dinu for a spot in the main draw, but this will be too tough, I think.

This is a good way to finish the season, good luck against Dinu. Not with out a chance, but it'd be a good win alright.
Didn't get into the doubles draw.
