Anna won her 2nd qual match 7-5 6-3 against 18 yr old Eugenia Chialvo (ARG)

and now plays Ashley Harkleroad for a place in MD

they haven''t played before, its indoors so it should favor Anna.

but not to discount Ashley.

it should be underway in around 90 mins or so.

Best of luck Anna , strike those groundies big and hard and take the net away from Ashley.

Janie ..... she turned 16 in November.

She's a blonde one

a bit like Anna.

Around 5'8, slim and plays aggressive and a good volleyer.

She is very nice and humble.

Im familiar with Sveta & Maria game-wise as Ive seen them both play live...but dont really know much about the rest except that Vera won the Orange Bowl last 2 years running...all seem very talented from what Ive heard/read etc.
I have no doubt Sveta will be a top player one day, and Maria definately seems to have 'it'. Oh well, time will tell

Anyway, this is an Anna thread, so cheers to Anna B!

Fokina although she won the Nationals doesn't look after herself too well.
She a lefty unlike others but has trouble keeping in shape,
