Maria is probably trapped in Newark or nearby right now...I could go see her :P She won't be flying out for quite a bit, the snow here is horrendous.

Those short little paragraphs Maria used to do? You're asking for too much.

Re: ** Masha News and Articles! ** Vol. 2
The world's highest-paid female athlete, who Forbes magazine estimated earned US$22 million in endorsements last year, flew into Auckland on Flight NZ5 from Los Angeles, entering arrivals about 8.40am Tuesday.
Dressed in an olive green top, black jacket, dark grey trousers and a grey scarf, she was welcomed by tournament director Richard Palmer and went straight to a waiting car.
Sharapova will find out who her first-round opponent is when the draw is made on Saturday.
Palmer said no decision had yet been made as to when Sharapova would play her opening match.
"We will go very much by what she wants and her coach wants," he said.
Tournament organisers say Sharapova, who has also won the 2006 US Open and the 2008 Australian Open, is expected to attend a public meet-and- greet at Auckland's Viaduct Harbour on Thursday between 5pm and 6pm.
A speed serve event and other entertainment are planned and fans will also meet Sharapova and defending champion Yanina Wickmayer.
