Re: What Is The Last Book or Books You Bought?

This is a good topic!

I usually buy books via Amazon, MUCH cheaper and it comes SO fast

I don't buy books nowadays (too much already), but recently bought;

Louis Auchincloss' 'Rector of Justin'

John Horn Burns' 'Gallery'

via Amazon,

and bought at a used bookstore in Sunnyvale (was staying at a cheap hotel for Stanford WTA)

C.P. Snow's 'Starngers and Brothers' PART 1(of 3), which covers 4 books Damn I'm so lucky to find that book

Re: What Is The Last Book or Books You Bought?

A Short History on Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

It really covers nearly everything, but the myriad of names on each page is a bit chaotic. Still, it's a good read. Excellent for long train rides.

Venus Williams "come to win" and she signed it right there in my face....I was SOOOOO Blessed to finally meet her and tell her how proud she and her makes us on the court. She really is sweet in person as she is on TV.

I bet that would a good time pass for you, nice way to utilize the time too. In my case it's somewhat reverse as am an Employer, time flies off managing 1000 plus staff

It was nice meeting a racing fan here

I love Danica Patrick!
Yes, your own buisness makes it tough. However, mine is such that we are required to staff our buiding 24/7 by the goverment who contract with us to provide a service. It really, as such, is not practical as all we are doing is monitoring what happens and that is not muchalot of the time.

Re: What Is The Last Book or Books You Bought?

And, yes, I love to pass my time that way as I have always loved to read. Have become reaquainted with some books/authors I love and aquainted with some new authors and books. My library expands greatly and my bookstore gives me a volume discount. But that is better than the booze store giving me that discount

Last I bought was Bertrand Russell's A History of Western Philosophy. I've only read about four chapters, but it's really fascinating so far.
