Re: Goodbye Books, Hello $: NCAA players gone pro! 2010 Edition
Are any of these girls from the early days of this thread still out there playing? Amanda Fink, Amanda McDowell, and Eleanor Peters. Those are names I really haven't heard in a long time. Chelsey Gullickson has also totally dropped off the radar lately.
The "next generation" of college players are having a lot more success transitioning in pros it seems. Irina Falconi, Mal Burdette, Maria Sanchez, and Nicole Gibbs are at there proving it's possible to succeed.
Would love to see some younger girls give some pro tournaments a try this summer... particularly Robin Anderson, Zoe Scandalis, and Sabrina Santamaria (who I saw play in 2010 and wasn't hugely impressed with, but I think she must have grown leaps and bounds in college because her results have been pretty impressive). Would like to see Kristie Ahn out there too... I've always thought she had pro potential, but injuries I think derailed her somewhat, and studies have always come first.

Chelsey has gone back to UGA to get a higher degree. I believe she'll come back soon.

Re: Goodbye Books, Hello $: NCAA players gone pro! 2010 Edition
Chelsey is still in her undergrad at UGA. Fink is teaching/coaching, McDowell is at UGA doing her law degree. Peters did have interest in a law degree but I don't know if she has started. Gibbs did an interview this week and announced she was going pro at Wimbledon
