I've been so hopeful abot her outcome. Right now I lost my confidence.

Nastop v Portorožu je tako odpovedala Sabine Lisicki, ki je bila v času prijave na turnir uvrščena na 40. mesto lestvice WTA. 21-letno desničarko že dalj časa pesti poškodba levega gležnja, ki jo je staknila marca in zaradi katere je izpustila že deset turnirjev.

It is official now, can´t read the language but with the help of google translator I got a bit of it!
They only mention her left ankle injury, no sickness or sth, well that was pretty sure anyway, but now we know it 100% that it is still/again her ankle which is guilty for it
If she really has pain again, I highly doubt it that she will start in San Diego, that would probably mean that she will be out again for several months incl. US Open, we´ll see, but I am not really positive about it all!

Ist offziell, natürlich mal wieder nicht von ihrer Seite, aber das kennt man ja schon. Wie lange will sie eigentlich noch allen etwas vormachen.

I wanted to fly to Portoroz on Friday to play my first tournament in months . Prior to that I went to see my doctor to make a last check. Then he said that my ankle isn´t strong enough yet to play a tournament without taking any risks.
I´m terribly disappointed because I was really looking forward to playing on the tour again. Everything was booked, my bags were packed and then you get to hear this. It´s another bump in the road and I have to stay strong and keep working hard to improve my stability in the ankle so that I can play soon on the tour with out risks!

Da wurde festgestellt, dass mein Sprunggelenk noch nicht stabil genug ist um ein Turnier ohne Risiko spielen zu können.

Naja, macht nicht wirklich Sinn für mich, aber gut, zumindest nicht eine neuerliche Verletzung oder wiederkehrende Schmerzen, die Frage ist aber eben, ob das Sprunggelenk jemals wieder voll belastbar sein wird..

Nach über 4 Monaten Pause und Reha, glaube ich fast nicht daran mehr. Sie hat doch jetzt schon wochenlang Reha gemacht und immer noch keine Besserung.
Könnte sein, dass der Auftritt in Miami ihr die Karriere kosten wird.
