Re: Sabine out for Wimbledon?

She will lose many points. But she rushed back too quickly before only to be injured again soon after. So I think her decision is right.

The rehab is going well but unfortunately not good enough to play Wimbledon. I did everything to be able to play but I didnŽt have enough time to be ready. It was really hard for me to pull out of the tournament because I have so many great memories! But I need to be fit and healthy to play again!

Last week I was on the court for the first time. The weather was amazing and it just felt so good to play again! I keep on working hard to come back soon. In the next few weeks IŽll do lots of fitness training and IŽll start to play more and more tennis. 8 weeks ago my swimming wasnŽt very good but it really is getting pretty good now!
Thanks to all for supporting me through the tough times.
Official statement from Sabine after she withdrew from Wimbledon!
Doesnt sound too bad, but to be honest, but I think it was never realistic that she can play Wimbledon as she isnŽt even able to play on court regularly yet!
Hopefully weŽll see her then in Portoroz

Re: Sabine out for Wimbledon?

It's sad she can't play and will lose all her points, but I think it was the better decision for her health. She should recover 100% now to come back fit and strong!

She shouldn't care about rankings now, if she is fit and will stay fit she'll soon be ranked as high as she used to.
