Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
Most of the match= Marion passively hitting the ball down the centre until Azarenka found the angle or hit with enough depth to force a short ball

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
Im getting unsure about her returning game. 3 breaks in 2 matches against players who dont have particularly reknowned serves is slightly worrying....
Still, defended her points, onto Wimbledon. If she doesnt take advantage of that draw Ill be sick.

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
It was a fairly good match today, nothing to be ashamed about
Call me a dreamer but i wanna see a quarter at wimbledon, i know you can do it
Goerges is a pretty bombshell who has the shots to beat the best, marion has to stay consistent and she will win

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
Too many notable players Marion has never beaten
0-3 vs Azarenka, Ivanovic, Sharapova and Kim
0-5 vs Radwanska
And others.

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
Well I think she will get through her first two matches.
She barely beat Marajo this week so we can't underestimate her.
And then there's Fran who is 4-1 against her and beat her 7-6 6-0 last year.

Except beginning of 2nd set. And she led 2-1 30:00. But Vika killed her with 3 huge forehands.

The best she played was the first two points at 4-5 imo.

I'm disappointed with the NATURE of the loss AND the defeat itself, but I'll be happy if Marion plays to her full potential at the Big W....VAMOS,MARION!!

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
not the worst draw ever, and i actually do think a QF is possible.
Schiavone went down to the slumping Cirstea this week, so she likely will be gotten rid of before she has to meet Marion.
bring back your form here from 2007!!

Re: Eastbourne and Wimbledon
MJMS out.. A big pity for her, I liker her and her game but this is good for Marion. I feel guilty now. She has no excuse not to get to the fourth round now.

The flip side to that is that it'll be even MORe aggravating if she doesn't make it with the easier draw
