I couldn't believe Ulrikke didn't have a thread about her so I thought I would set one up.

She is a fantastic talent (16 years old) from Oslo in Norway and recently won the Norway National tournament and does well in the junior grand slams.

She has moved up 123 positions since last week (thanks to her 10K title in Finland). Congratulations

*Ulrikke is on the alternate list for 100K Bronx but probably needs a wild card to get into the main draw. This tournament is just one week before US Open and it has a very strong entry list (in the same class as WTA 220K events)! And since this tournament has no qualification, it seems unlikely that we'll see Ulrikke here (she's alternate #37 atm).

What exactly happened to Auensen BTW???

Good question! Helene Auensen was runner up at the Norwegian Championships last year (which Ulrikke won). Auensen has not retired but she has had some serious injuries and surgery which have stopped her career for a while. She's still training, and she has not given up all hope for a comeback. It may take a while though, and she has said that we definetely won't see her on the court until 2011.
