Disrespect to SEWTA #1 : bumped to Court 3 along with her sister
This is so disrespectful to both Serena and Venus, SEWTA biggest stars...
I don´t think that Federer ever played on an outside court when he was number 1!
Madrid organizers are crazy, they should have put her at least in court 2
At least the tour glamour girl Ivanovic is on center court to save the day

Safarova vs Dulgheru as the evening match and Parra Santonja vs Peng on Court ASV while the WS are on Court 3.

Every match on Court 1 or 2 has a Spaniard, except: JJ/Ana, Murray/Mayer? and Lucie/Dulgheru. First one deserves CC. Second one is dudes, and ATP > WTA right now. Third...not sure.
So it's not disrespectful, its just the way things go now: ATP > WTA, Spain > Non-Spain. It's Madrid.

It's Spain and they have different criteria as to what has value and what doesn't.
I don't think people like Serena and Venus are particularly appreciated in that country.

Someone also brought up the fact that Petrova and Skeeza play doubles later that day as well. Their doubles match is scheduled after their singles match. With both of em' playing doubles it makes it easier for them to all be on the same court, so maybe that's why.

 If they (WS) feel disrespected, and they haven't said so, just go out there and WIN !!! If they or anybody else feels slighted because of a non-center or court 2 appearance, get over it !!! Geez !!! |
