Catalina Castaño cheering thread
As the 2nd highest ranked Colombian tennisplayer, Catalina deserves a cheering threat too. She comes from Pereira, Risaralda, and is ranked 113. The australian open will be her first tournament of 2005. She is a clay-court specialist and has beaten players like Daniilidou and Medina-Garrigues. She is known for her great fighting spirit. We wish her the best of luck for her match against Washington and for the upcoming year.
Vamos Catalina!!!

If she wins, she will probably play Nathalie Dechy.

Catalina has won three matches in a row on hard She qualified winning two matches, and beat fellow qualifier Stephanie Foretz 6-1, 6-3 in the first round. She faces Paola Suarez next, who hasn't won a match in her comeback, could Catalina continue this amazing hard court run?
BTW, I saw in a report that Catalina was 'destroying' Laura Granville in a practice match in Miami
