Leonhart, are you saying that they are performing Japanese music?
The music that these young groups sing are based on western styles. Not traditional Asian music.
Most western music these days have VERY strong influences from Black Americans. This is quite widely known.

oh, james brown, michael jackson, usher, etc. have somehow copped their dance moves and singing from taeyang, rain, and company.

It was, but also, I'm a hater. At this point I avoid Kpop in part because it's terrible, but mostly just because it gives me weird galbi rice cake gravings that I just can't shake. Canadian food doesn't cut it.
