I wish I knew what was going on with Venus- I'm just going to assume she's not playing any tennis events this year until she tells her fans otherwise.

Including Charleston, Wimbledon, Us Open etc etc

Nah, she says she wants to play and she should be on her way, we already know she made a commitment to Miami when we heard about the t-shirt competition, but that is not written in stone.
And she also tweeted she wants to "grind it out" on clay and win a few titles this season and of course she played fed cup for the Olympics, these are all good signs, she may withdraw for KL but she will be back.

We just have to take everything with a grain of salt when it comes to Venus and Serena

There's been no official confirmation regarding her withdrawal YET although it looks inevitable. The tourney begins in a few days and considering it's her first one back in aaaaages i expect she'd maybe announce on twitter or something that she was on her way/ looking forward to playing etc.

Not worried until she skips Miami where i expect she really wants to play and make a comeback. If we don't see her there, then i will really worry for her OG ranking and more disturbingly her career

Oh well if she did withdraw. Not even caring about the Olympics at this point, just want her back. But as I said months ago, if singles is too much for her, then there is always a doubles career she can build upon. Clearly she still has the stamina for that.

Same here. I wish people in GM woudln't just cast presumptions and then start the hate brigade about how it's over for Venus. I accept that she's not a fave for everyone, but considering how out of her control her absence is, they should really imagine what it'd be like if their fave were in this position.
