Can't say I remember when was I this satisfied with a defeat. Pulling world's number 31 into a tie-break is major in my book. Not only that, but this is #31 who also has good defensive skills and is quite fast out there, not to mention varies her game a lot and is tactically superior (to put it mildly) to any 16 y.o. This fact that she mixes things up a lot and uses a good deal of the court is probably the best thing for Donna in this match, as there's hardly a better way to learn on court than to watch someone who is very good in many different aspects of the game. If she would've won the tie-break who knows how things would develop by the end of the match, but this, combined with 2 marathons in the previous rounds, probably created too high of an obstacle. Oh well, we can at least say that she'll surely get another chance 
Anyway, good job this week, as the 3rd seed she did what she was supposed to and that's the most important thing. She got some match play in, faced some solid opposition and can be satisfied before planning a trip to Korea. |

Excellent week for Donna, she did what was expected from her. I did some calculations and if she wins 25K Seoul and if she reaches second round in Delhi she will be in AO main draw. If she will reach 1/8 final in Delhi she will be around WTA 100, but if she will make it into quarters she is definetely in top 100.
Can't wait to see can she make it.

Another successful week is over for Donna!
She was so close to win first set but it would be too much to expect a win vs player who is in form of a lifetime and with career high ranking of 31.
I am almost certain now that Donna will accomplish her mission in following tournaments!  |

It will be interesting
I just had a look at the field in Seoul and it is not nearly as weak as I thought: Sema almost took a set off Stosur this week and there are dangerous players like Abduraimova Still, Donna is the favourite 
Delhi will be interesting because I actually have no idea who is playing  |

Too bad she couldn't win that first set against Hsieh after being a break up  I'm a bit disappointed about the struggle in the first 2 rounds, but it doesn't matter anymore, as she defeated Garcia and put up a good fight against a player like Hsieh. Our girl is slowly closing in the top 100

British Eurosport are in love with Donna  Seriously these past two weeks I swear they mention her at least once a day
So $25K Seoul starting 22nd October and then $125K New Delhi starting 5th November? I looked at the entry list for Seoul, she should have no problems winning the title there. As vladekCRO said, if she wins Seoul and reaches QF in New Delhi she'll almost definitely be Top 100. But we'll see what happens. 
Are those her last two tournaments of the year?  |

They really do don't they? Only because Felgate is working for them in his spare time. Him and Bradnam seem to be quite good mates. I guess they've both coached in London for a long time.
Anyway, they are hyping an interview they've done with Donna which will be broadcast during their coverage of Istanbul. So look out for it.
