I'm not sure how I feel about such a late start for her. It's good she gets some more rest but if she wins and makes the SF, she could get less time to rest than Vika will. If she tanks the QF to make Moscow Q's, will she have enough time to make it?

If players that are entered into qualifying make it to FRI or SAT in a tournament the week before, the tournament may move their 1st rd QD match to SUN. The player would then play their match on SUN and, if they win, play 2nd rd QD match also on SUN.

Does that make since??

I like that she's last up today. Honestly, I'll be very happy with a SF showing this week after being off for so long. Nothing to lose against Vika

Its more than likely she would play Vika in the SF, but you never know, thats why they play the matches

Vika could withdraw or fake an injury again....

Beth would've won but she was literally worn out.

I think if she had played earlier in the day, she could've done it. I think waiting around all day and having to keep energized was a bit too much plus Begu played a really good match. Good serving and backhands. Beth has a decent draw in Lux Q's. Hopefully she can get enough rest to qualify for the MD.
