I was a little underwhelmed by the finale, although this show has set seriously high standards in the past so it's not surprising they can't keep it up all the time. When it came to Deb finding them at the end, it was obvious what the outcome would be so there was no "OH SHIT!" moment like we've seen in previous season finales.

Still, it's been a good season overall and there's so much that will be carried over to next year. That said, if Hannah doesn't return then that will have been the biggest waste of time and worst conclusion to a storyline ever.

This season has been so not intriguing at all. Dexter the character has lost all respect now. I think season 8 could be amazing if they actually take bad dexter all the way, he would probably have to get jailed or killed though and I don't know if the writers will go that far. Anything else and its a cop out. He's a bad person now no matter how they try and shine the light on it I hope they don't try to make him goody two shoes

You just started realizing that he's a bad person?

It's hilarious how stupid some people are. For 7 seasons Dexter has been a criminal, now that he leads to the death of LaGuerta and people are out for his head. People really want the show to be like it was but it can't, it's ending next season so they have to get every plot that they wanted in while they still can and that means that Dexter is going to come off not as charming and likable as he had in previous seasons. It's called character development.

Season 8 is premiering early this year -- June 30th Showtime is also not confirming whether this is officially the final season or not, so we'll see, probably because the show's ratings are at an all time high.
