A silly question, but I'm wondering why you didn't reformat/correct Ugarte's results before entering them in the actual thread? That would surely have saved you some time.

I've tried a copy and pasting all the results before in word. The problem is after copying the format doesn't convert well.
Another advantage is I'm going over all the results in the New York Times as I convert. This allows me to compare, double check, and where the NYT had additional info, add results.
It might be slower. It also looks strange while I'm converting. Once it's converted though I hope the end results is a good one.
I added in results from the Wimbledon Plate event. All the singles and doubles results (excluding mixed) from the Grand Slams have been added.

The softness of the courts after rain, was blamed for the losses of Frank Sedgman and others in 1949.
The Launceston Examiner says 'Mrs Bolton played poorly'. The Melbourne Argus said 'Mrs Bolton failed badly. Miss Toomey had such poor opposition that she hardly

** DIANA CALDER sailed off to the Caribbean for an extended holiday in late 1952. The next year, in Jamaica, she accepted a job as an air hostess when the regular hostess decided to stand down. Just before take off Calder asked the head of Royal Caribbean International Airways "are these planes safe?"
Shortly after takeoff, one of the plane's two engines failed and the plane crashed into the sea, killing 13 people including the 21 year old Australian.
*** DAWN KENT (Mrs Rupert HARDINGHAM from 1951) won the Hong Kong Tennis Championships in 1947 and 1948 when she was living there with friends.

**** JUDITH TISSOT (Mrs Edward Fitz-gerald) was a versatile champion in racquet sports. She was a Melbourne badminton star and won the 1952 Australian squash title; her first of four national championships, as well as representing her state in tennis. She travelled to Europe in 1953, with her friend Kay Neville Smith, hoping to see the coronation. While in Englend, both competed in tennis tournaments while Judy made the SF of the British Squash Championships.
After marriage in 1957, Judy had six children and devoted herself to coaching. Her daughter Sarah Fitzgerald, who won five World Open championships in the 1990s and is rated as one of the greatest squash players of all time.
