i think they both want to make the break up quiet , especially masha who is very sensitive to these kinds of personal issue and questions that will be asked..

but sasha broke the news silently so he can start dating other girls without creating worst gossip or cheating rumor.. (even though some gossip sites said sasha was dumped because he was cheating)..

maria seems to be taken by suprise by this revelation... even though she handled it great

i dunno... he ask maria for engagement and gave her a beautiful (and expensive ring)... seems like a serious relationship.. i hate it if he is exposed as cheater... (but in the long term its good for maria)..

didnt maria caught sasha cheating and dumped him in instant ? i read it in some website long before her officiaal announcement. it said 'a tennis player caught her fiancee cheating and dumped him , cancelled her wedding etc.. and most ppl there guess its serena and her boyfrend
