Sachie is back playing another 25K Japanese. I have a feeling she is trying to build up her ranking to play USO qualies. If she does make top 200 by end of this season, she just might reconsider going pro first instead of university.
Sachie play Natsumi next, could be a little tricky.
I've got the impression that Sachie is still fully committed to playing pro tennis, her university classes are just on the side. The terrible google translation of an update on her homepage (first update in ages ) makes it sound like WTA is still the priority. I'm not completely sure where university falls in.
I'm also not sure what her plans are after this week, can't find Sachie on any upcoming entry lists.
But now we have the question of what Sachie plans on doing next. Anyone have a clue? She is getting so close to the top-200, I hope she plans on playing some events over the summer. As long as she peaks again during the busy Fall season though, 2011 could still be a success.
I can't believe that Sachie wasn't awarded a Wimbledon qualie WC being the runner up in juniors last year & being ranked relatively close to the cut off for qualies. Instead, WCs are wasted on Brits who have absolutely no chance of even taking a set
