Last year she didn't play Cincinnati (and New Haven) because of her ankle IIRC (or was it another injury?). In 2012 she qualified for the MD in Cincinnati and then had an inexplicable loss 1 and 2 to Karatantcheva. Hopefully she does better now.
I actually hope Kiki withdraws from New Haven, straight after the USO she is in MD for WTA Hongkong and WTA Seoul. Would be a bit too much I think to play that much but she really should play WTA's were she can start in MD. That's the way to gather points
If you go to the website of RtlBoulevard, they did an item on Kiki today which was recorded while training at ATV Berkenrode before she left for North America. The clip can be found on the website and they look forward to the US Open.
