I'm quite happy she pulled through this one  She had a few bad moments with serve, and a VERY lucky challenge on a second serve on break point. Good luck against Oudin  I think she can make QF at least, especially since Oudin has that injury and that might bother her during the match.

US Open R2: (29) Maria Sharapova d. (WC) Christina McHale 6-2 6-1
A real bore out there, Sharapova was average at best but still throughly overwhelmed McHale.
McHale has potential, but is still very raw, still a good experience for her.

Well done Maria  Not as good as round 1, but still pretty impressive.
Glad I've finally got to see McHale play. Although overwhelmed today, she's a handy player who definately has a future in the game. Not sure how far she'll go, but right now I'd say top 100 at least. I wish her well.
