I grew up near there and almost went there until South Carolina offered a scholorship. It is a great school and Ann Arbor is a great town. You are going to love it

Re: University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). Anyone studying there?
My cousin just graduated from there this past January and I have spent a lot of time vacationing there visiting him.
It really is an amazing college city, a vibrant downtown area with lots of bars, cafes, restaurants. Good places to shop, lots and lots of athletic things to do all over the city.
It really is just a beautiful place, good luck attending the college. The weather is probably the worst thing, especially in the winter, but like I said, its an amazing city with great people.

Are you used to heavy snowfall? Because that'll probably be the biggest change in winter, especially if you're having to walk across campus.
I can't speak of Ann Arbor, but I went to U of M - Flint, and it is a good school. I think you're going to have larger class sizes than I did, so you might not have as close of interaction with your professors. You'll get good student prices for sports tickets and university concerts/plays/etc.

My brother went to Michigan. He loved his time there and has a strong school spirit.

Re: University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). Anyone studying there?
I had a younger and brother and sister both graduate from the Univ of Michigan. I chose to go elsewhere. That said the university offers a great education, but they both chose to go else where for graduate school and wouldn't even consider applying there...curious. They have both said that students there tend to think very highly of themselves and and consider UofM on par with an Ivy League school. LMAO. Enjoy.

Haha.. U of M isn't on par with an Ivy League. But schools like Stanford, UVA and Berkeley are on the same level as an Ivy League for sure.

Re: University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). Anyone studying there?
I have a couple of friends at Michigan, and I always have a great time visiting them. Ann Arbor is an awesome college town, and the campus is beautiful. The only reason that I wouldn't choose to go there myself is the huge size, but if you're ok with that, then it's an amazing school.
UVA on par with the Ivy League, I don't think do, although I would agree with Stanford and Berkeley.
