Who is the better doubles player in your opinion, tough choice.

serena she poaches way more than venus, has the more reliable serve and is the more consistent returner

Serena has had more success with other players the few times they have played without each other while it took Venus a long time to register her first win with a player other than Serena. That to me indicates Serena is better.

But if you look at their roles within the WS team, I think it varies from match to match who is the better of the two. They are so well balanced, it's not like you can "pick on" one of them. They both have huge serves, amazing athletiscm, volleys etc. Serena might be the more consistent returner but Venus is the one playing the pressure points. So in that sense they both have an equal contribution to their wins and losses.

I really can't choose, but Ree's success with other partners was the tiebreaker.

There both amazing doubles players . But Vees wingspan at the net gives her the edge in my opinion

Serena seems like she's never the leader in any of her doubles teams, and while i'm not sure she's not afraid to speak up at times, it's usually Venus or whoever else calling the shots.

I think Venus has the better ability to play doubles tennis during doubles, and not singles. I've seen Serena go for shots and volleys that may bewinners or errors, but are definitely not smart doubles plays.

serena has the best reactions of the two. Venus almost never picks up a ball that is hit for a winner close by her, but Serena almost always gets a racket on it, even if it doesn't go back over the net (which is uncommon!)

Serena has the better/more reliable serve, the better passing shots, the better lobs, the better returner, the better backhand volley, and seems to be much more intimidating with her poaches.

Venus has the better forehand volley and the better doubles overhead. I say doubles overhead because normally when you hit an overhead in doubles you have to move back and jump up.

So I'll go with Serena.

I feel like venus could be, but serena is more consistently better...venus has better vollies, serena has better return/serve...idk its tough.
