Re: Alize on her way in the US OPEN Series
Broke back to 3-4, then lost her serve again, so is down 3-5, now 3-6. Sigh. Now she has lost her serve to love at the beginning of the second set. I gotta go, hopefully Alize can come back and win in three.

Re: Alize on her way in the US OPEN Series
She lost 3-6 2-6
well the same average and poor play from alize,no miracle there. She had only one break point and converted it,her stats are very bad.
Nothing to say only that it was a poor match from her.
See you in toronto, more ready and giving better fight.

Yeah, I think you're right. She improved a lot after the off-season, she was in Top10 form in January.

Re: Alize on her way in the US OPEN Series
This year Melinda is very dangerous. She should be Top30 at least, her game is very agressive. She was amazing against Serena in Stanford.
ALLEZ ALIZÉ!

Re: Alize on her way in the US OPEN Series
czink is the kind of player you see the tour is plenty of. She's left handed, hit flat and powerful strokes. She has some good wins this year and sure can play some good tennis but losing 3 and 2 proves how poor alize is right now.
Her serve is sooo weak and seems like everything in her game just not as good as it used to be.
Dont think she has to take a break now, the season is still long and many tournaments to come yet.
I think she shouldnt stop cause perhaps she'll find a new "breath" by playing lower tournaments.
Her New Heaven points will be retired next week if I m right so her ranking will drop once again, she s going to get outside the top32 if she continues losing that much. No seed for the US Open.
I think she just doesnt have the level to play in the Main draw right now. Perhaps playing qualies can help her finding her tennis back and to fight more like she used to be before that crap she's living in.

Yes, I think you're right. My example is Agnes Szavay who played qualies in Acapulco and after that she improved a lot, and she didn't lose in the 1st round on the next tournaments.

yes you're right, I think alize and agnes situation are the same, agnes had her slumping year in 2008 after her breakthrough year one year ago, reaching the quarter finale at the us open and winning beijing defeating jankovic in finale. She was struggling so much last year, she was like a ghost on the court,it was painful to watch.
I still think alize best way to stop that slump and confidence crisis is to play lower tournaments and play qualies of big ones. She must be able to win more than one match to get her rythme and confidence back.
Dont know what is her programme after the US Open but I think she should play more lower tournaments. She needs wins. And also work her ass very hard on training.
