This will get her into the 190s

Ani's #5 on the entry list for next week's $25K in Podgorica. QF (possibly R2) there would get her into the 180s while a SF would get her into the 170s.

I won't speculate beyond that but best of luck to Ani next week!

Congrats on another title Ani - what a year; nothing until 2011 and then two titles, pretty unexpectedly

So now it's two 25k challengers won, this one against one of the best players in the draw, a girl who is close to her best ever ranking, and whom Ani beat on her best surface. Quite nice! It is truly a very good season for Ani and it's only natural to expect a strong finish of the year in terms of rankings. Looks like 2012 could indeed be an exciting year.

good draw imo...playing someone like dentoni is a good experience cause that is the level of opponent ani has to get used to now that she's top200

Ani reaches a new CH ranking this week: #201

Ani played Zagreb 50k+H this week and she made it the best run of all Croats - to the QF.

R1 def. I. Akiki (Q) 6-4 7-5
R2 def. F. Molinero (6) 6-4 6-2
QF lost to A. Pivovarova (2) 6-4 4-6 6-4

It were two good wins against in-form Akiki and easy win over 196th player in the world. And in the end, good fight against 134th player who in May was in top 100 at career high - 93th.

^ Yes, that was a pretty good performance from Ani this week. I believe she'll move into the top 200 next week as a result. Better yet, she's defending less than a dozen points the rest of the year so she could make a really nice move up the rankings.

Another encouraging result for her, well done! She is making wins against girls ranked inside top150 or better almost on a regular basis and makes many girls really work for their points. Great to see her making the most out of her talent.
