Bastad 1R: Pennetta bt Schiavone 6-2 7-5
Flavia played pretty stunningly in the 1st set.
Got the job done quite easily, kept her cool when the 2nd set was tight, so good performance 
Also showed off her gorgeous technique once more  (somehow that keeps amazing me)

Far from being the match of the season, but entertaining nonetheless. Two players who know how to work a point, particularly on clay. Schiavone was quite inconsistent in the 1st set, but cleaned up her act in the 2nd and made it a match. Some great defense and touch shots from both. Pennetta's superior firepower from the baseline didn't make as much of a difference as I thought it would.
