Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
Just flicked onto Radio Wimbledon a few minutes ago and one of Radio Wimbledon's legendary reporters made these comments about Zina Garrison:
"She must have put on a stone in weight every year since she reached the Wimbledon final."
"She obviously likes a bit of cake."
"Time hasn't been kind to her, but the buffet table has."
Harsh. Evidently, Steffica Greles now has becomes a roving Radio Wimbledon reporter.

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Report
at her and Smylie losing the first set in 13 minutes!
But yes, those are some pretty disrespectful and unprofessional comments

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
Harsh comments - but pretty accurate.
When did Liz Smylie get so heavy? I'm sure she was in good shape up to a couple of years back...

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
Guy just said he hopes he never has to cover her again. DAMN!!! That is very nasty and flat out mean. They would never say this about a man. How many of these old foggies in the mens legends event are overweight. Those are some nasty jerkass bastards on Wimbledon radio.

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
She is an absolute disgrace for a former professional athlete. If she is that out of shape, she should not be playing at Wimbledon (much less appearing in public) where she is just asking for ridicule.
She needs to just go away (with the only possible exception of appearing on Celebrity Fit Club).

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
Many Professional Athletes have extremely slow metabolism. When they retire, they can eat less food but their activity is nowhere near the level of their professional careers. This is why they gain weight (simple).
Zina can play if she wants to at any weight (If she is happy with herself, more power to her). Only thing I'm concerned about is her health.

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
I wonder why they didn't trash any of the retired male tennis players, there have been some who have ballooned up after they left the circuit as well. I guess calling a woman fat is the male equivalent of saying a dude has a small johnson.

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
That's messed up. Especially when you consider she's battled bulimia during her career. Why go after a sensitive spot of hers?

Re: Radio Wimbledon's Zina Garrison Comments
If those Radio Wimbledon "reporters" had bothered to do 30 seconds of research, they would have known that Zina Garrison is a recovering bulimic. I would much rather she look the way she looks now than do what she used to do to lose weight.
