Re: time to hire up a coach?
I don't think she's fundamentally unfit but she definitely lacks endurance, dramatically.

Re: time to hire up a coach?
from next week we will start seeing if this was just a traditional topic (like after every bad moment) or something real
I hope in the first point of course, even if I believe in the second one
fight Maria, and good luck

I agree . Michael is more her friend, she needs a real coach, she needs to improve her footwork, service, mentally...ALL, y with Michael isn't working . For me, Michael isn't a great coach, she won championship and slams for her talent and fight, Michael and Yuri aren't good training

I agree, I don't think she's going to hire a coach. I'm sure Yuri can help her, I sure hope the news about him returning next week is true.

Re: time to hire up a coach?
she played her best at AO 08 with yuri and joyce, so I don't think that's the main issue..maybe they can get advice from other experts, like service coaches

Re: time to hire up a coach?
Definitely.
I wish she'd work with Bollettieri again. She worked with him before YEC 07 and AO 08 and that was when she played some of her best tennis.

She played great tennis, because she had confidence and a good service. I'm not saying that she fire to Michael, but other tennis players hire coaches for improve service, volley, clay (Djokovic, Federer, Murray...) why Maria doesn't that?
I hope Yuri can help her

Masha already works with Landsdorp(?) on occasion to improve her serve. I think it was mentioned during last year's Wimbledon, that she worked with someone explicitly on her service.
I think she has all the people she needs to be honest. It will just take time before we see AO 2008 Masha again.
We can't expect too much from her yet. She's only played 5 tournaments since she came back. That's almost nothing. Maybe at the end of the season we will see glimpses of the old Masha, but I wouldn't call out for a new coach just yet.

Re: time to hire up a coach?
Oh dear, another loss and this thread is revived again.
It takes a long time to get back to the top, a new coach isn't gonna change that anyway.

Re: time to hire up a coach?
as always I don't complain for the results but for the supervision
it's scandalous the fitness level she showed lately considering all the time they had to train during this stop

Re: time to hire up a coach?
i was sure someone is going to say about "new coach" after the match.
she come back from injury. she just need time. new coach will change nothing.
maybe with yuri know(if it's true) she will take some confiance...

Yuri is back. I know he's not exactly a positive person but I won't hide that I feel relieved at least
