I agree that it's becoming to Hollywood-ish, and the music is getting worse...

Re: Anybody into BOLLYWOOD movies?
Well I mean, time goes by and somehow bollywood movies need to improve so that it won't be tagged as "old-fashioned". Om Shanti Om and Don still retained part of bollywood moments, while making the whole movies like a hollywood movie.

Re: Anybody into BOLLYWOOD movies?
I've just finished DEVDAS
Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit are stunning
but SRK, I think comedies are better for you...

I used to buy DVDs for as low as Rs. 25(0.5 USD) and each DVD has 4-5 movies. Oh and most of these were pirated from Hong Kong and Singapore, so in that sense, what u are paying is too expensive
^^Omkara is a Indian remake of Othello Aamir is my favorite actor and I agree with above statements about SRK ovearcting. SRK is still successful coz of his charm, I dont like him but u cant help but appreciate his character unlike Aamir and others who are egoistic. Chak De! was the only movie where I liked SRK and his acting.
As for the movies, Devdas was one of the worst movies, I have ever seen. My favorites are Rang De Basanti, Kabhi Kushi, DCH, Krishh (over own version of superman ) and Jab we met. I luv these movies and have seen them many times. As for it become too Hollywoodish, I guess we have to move with times and they are trying to imitate the style and I see no wrong in it and TBH I like it.

Re: Anybody into BOLLYWOOD movies?
They're okay. Most of the ones I've seen are kind of shallow, with lots of singing and dancing and not much plot. Don't really care for the singing(why always such high pitch voices?). The dancing is sometimes entertaining. The plots are usually either too confusing or too contrived. But I do think Hrithik Roshan(sp?) is very good looking. I saw a movie once where he played a mama's boy turned mujahadeen, forget the name. I think the only Indian movie I actually thought was good was Monsoon Wedding, but then I think it's made by an American director so not really Bollywood. I haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire but it's made by a British director so I guess it's not really Bollywood either. Aishwarya Rai was good in Pink Panther II.
In last year's So You Think You Can Dance, they had Bollywood dancing one night and it was fantastic, check it out: Katee & Joshua's Bollywood

Deepika Padukone ( ) and Priyanka Chopra are much better.
I have only finished a few bollywood movies:
Ghajini, Don, Om Shanti Om (I got Devdas in my computer)
these movies are relatively new, and I am into it
I can buy cheap Bollywood dvd only 2 dollar USD

You should watch Ash in Raincoat and Choker Bali. Very little make-up.
