Actually it was 3rd loss to Kalashnikova in a row, that doesn't happen too often on the tour.

Re: Paula "the champion of Poland" Kania cheering thread

In October she played quallies of a big 100+H challenger in Torhout. Lost to Zanevska in straights.
Then chose Istanbul, won quallies where she defeated Kuchmina, who have been in good form lately. But in MD she drew second seed Daria Kustova to whom she lost 3:6 6:7... Tight match it seems...

Now she plays 10k in Minsk. She's seeded with "2" and her first opponent is Vladislava Kuzmenkova.
In doubles she pairs with Pimkina and they just won their first match.

Good luck!

Re: Paula "the champion of Poland" Kania cheering thread

Lost a close second round 4:6 4:6 against top200 Beygelzimer.
But she's in a doubles final with Kasia Piter after beating Bergot/Kuryanovich and Rodina/Tsurenko.
They will play Bovina/Bychkova duo. Good luck!

Re: Paula "the champion of Poland" Kania cheering thread

Disaster in Opole in singles
But made the doubles final with Magda Linette

Now playing in 25k Prerov quallies against unranked girl from Slovakia, third set

So typical

Re: Paula "the champion of Poland" Kania cheering thread

W dążeniu do spełnienia marzeń będąc małą dziewczynką zaczęłam trenować więcej i intensywniej. W efekcie w roku 2006, mając 14 lat, zdobyłam mistrzostwo Polski w deblu i wicemistrzostwo w singlu, a reprezentując Polskę w halowych drużynowych mistrzostwach Europy w Holandii i w drużynowych mistrzostwach Europy we Włoszech dwa razy zdobyłam srebrny medal.

Zimą zdobyłam trzecie miejsce w juniorskich halowych mistrzostwach Polski w singlu i złoto w deblu, a latem zostałam mistrzynią Polski juniorek w singlu i deblu.

W roku 2008 w wieku 16 lat w halowych mistrzostwach Polski zimą i mistrzostwach latem dwa razy zdobyłam dwa brązowe medale (singiel i debel).

W obecnych "trudnych" czasach mój klub również walczy z problemami finansowymi, lecz mimo to nieodpłatnie udostępnia mi korty i halę do treningów.

Re: Paula "the champion of Poland" Kania cheering thread

Paula starts her season from playing 10k in Stuttgart (indoor hard)

Her in singles:

Paula Kania [6] vs Vanessa Henke
Qualifier vs Qualifier
Nina Zander vs Anna Brazhnikova
Ani Mijacika [4] vs Qualifier

Should reach QF, then we'll see.
Also plays doubles this week with Monika Tumova.

First match against Mijacika and Golubić. Fingers crossed!
