Another good win for Viki today in Burnie $25K: def. 6-Zhang (HKG) ranked #221. Viki flogged her losing just 3 games! And plays Abbie Myers next so a good chance for a QF berth.
Amazingly Viki has just 5 points to defend until November.  If she keeps playing and playing like this, she will rise up the rankings pretty quickly.
Her good form has been a pleasant surprise. Keep going!

I have seen Zhang play quite a bit here in HK and she is really good and a bit of a star here. For Viki to win so comprehensively is a great sign. Keep it up.

Another great tournament for Viki has resulted in her reaching her first ever ITF final!! This is really fantastic. Seems to be a real turn around in form and she'll be well inside the top 500 once these rankings points are added. Great work and good luck in the final against Ashleigh. You'll need it!

Her 2nd serve/DFs seem to be a problem. One per game so far and not winning many points on 2nd serve.
Still she's doing well against a much higher ranked opponent. Keep fighting Viki!

Nice win by Viki in Hobart yesterday. Faces the 17 y/o Yulia Putintseva, known just as much for her bratty attitude and defection to Kazakstan than her tennis talent.
Cooler in Hobart today, 25 degrees, so hopefully this assists Viki in her receovery from yesterdays 3-setter. Though maybe her supposed diet of chips gives her enough salt intake for reovery not to be an issue :-)

Rajicic vs Feuerstein - match report
Caught the match from 6-4 2-2 onwards. Used to hearing Viki’s surname pronounced Raj-i-chic… the umpire took great delight in saying… Rrriiiiii-a-chic…. Lol.
Claire is a beautiful player to match, all parts of her game look (and are) French classy. Beautiful one hand backhand, but the forehand is the one she makes the play with. Though she makes a few errors by going for her shots and with some pretty good play Viki sped to a 5-2 2nd set lead. CF tightened her game then and Viki was twice two points from the set, but just couldn’t grab the key points. Unfortunately Viki has a habit of chucking a loose point early in each game and then has to spend time and energy making the ground back.
I like Viki’s game, good serve and 2nd ball is reliable. Hits clean on both sides and defends OK. Doesn’t really get down on herself, seems to be reasonably intense out there. I believe she could be a tour player if she’s guided/coached correctly. Time will tell I suppose.
