I heard in GM that Mimi is out for the rest of the year due to injury
Is it true?

Re: Tamira Paszek Articles and Interviews Thread

I haven't heard anything yet. She has quite a few points to defend from now til the end of the year (USO 2nd RND & Bali Final), so her ranking will undoubtedly plummet if she skips the rest of the season. Personally I think it's the right decision, provided it's the decision that means she will take a rest, recover and come back stronger than ever next year. I don't care if she doesn't win 3878956298356 matches; I just want to see a happy and healthy Tamira Paszek at this present moment in time.

There is still no news on austrian sportsites...

But there was an article at USA-Today which said she is out for the rest of the year and already asked for a Protected Ranking.

Anyway, I really hope she will come back with 100% health.

Re: Tamira Paszek Articles and Interviews Thread

I was just thinking of Tamira, remembering my good memories of her from Montreal 2008.
I hope she can feel better in the new year, and come back as strong as we all hope she can be!

This article says that the NADA closed the case about Tamira. So that doping story is over now.

Tamira is also back in training - just the serve gives her some troubles.

Great news! So happy for Tamira. It was a ridiculous charge. I just hope she is feeling better and her back will be OK. What an awful year!

Come back strong, Mimi!

Nice interview with Tamira.

She says she feels no more pain now and starts with training this week. She missed the "tennis-life" a lot because she didn't visit any tournament since July. This week she is in Linz and is also happy to see all the players again. Her goal is to come back at the Australien Open, but maybe it will last till February.

Go Mimi, can't wait till you're back!

Poor Tamira. I am glad she is without pain now but I hope her back is going to be OK when she returns to tennis. She sounds like she is resigned to the fact that it will be a life-long issue for her.

Yes, right.

There was also a TV interview a few days ago, she said she started practicing "Real-tennis" this week in Linz and already had her second training-day that day, I think it was Wednesday.

She was cute as always

Re: Tamira Paszek Articles and Interviews Thread

Thanks for the news, joe87!

Here the article:
http://www.laola1.at/128+M5867a190f80.html

Quote:

Tamira Paszek: Wieder sehr gut, danke.

Paszek: Das stimmt leider.

Paszek: Auf jeden Fall.
