She uses those small ITF tournaments to reenter step by step in competition form. It's not a bad plan.

Yeah, and I don't criticize her for that, but who else woud have played a 50k tournament the week of Christmas somewhere in Turkey! 
She is a fierce competitor and the fact she is currently only Romania's #5 ranking wise should be enough motivation for her to keep playing!

Alex is only Romanian #5 behind Niculescu, Begu, Halep and Cirstea. But good for Romanian tennis! 
To be honest I`m worried about Alex`s career. Hope it won`t go like Szavay and Cornet
