Re: Alexandra Dulgheru!!!
I just saw the photos for the first time and she looks exhausted and spent, something which is just too understandable if you got smashed off the court by any decent player at times.
She is probably practicing a lot, but we must stay patient until things work out!
Everytime she has to go over the second serve her body language is like "Oh please, no return winner or double fault now" and most of the time this is going to happen...
This is only one example for the misery at the moment. Another one is the high percentage of easy errors, many unlucky draws and problems to close out a match. The livescore against Van Uytvanck nearly killed me...
But that's just the sight on her life as a sportswoman. As a fan we nearly know nothing what is going on in her private life, family or just if she has just a period of smaller health and body problems. She is very reserved concerning her private life.
The upcoming clay MMs can hopefully boost her confidence. It's time to step it up again!

Re: Alexandra Dulgheru!!!
Nope, she's not in any lists of those little clay events Palermo/Bad Gastein/Baku.
So there's a few weeks break and she'll play in USA, not sure where though.

I don't think that she is injured, because she played mixed in thursday and everything looked good, while already yesterday (maybe earlier) it was know that she don't play in Bastad.
I don't understand this. Probably she will have to play in qualifying during turnaments in USA.

Re: Alexandra Dulgheru!!!
Well, of course it's a good thing if she's not injured. However it still means she won't play like for a month or so

Re: Alexandra Dulgheru!!!
WTF is going on!
I just came home from a weekend trip and looked forward to the draw and what did I read: Dominguez Lino seeded #4
I don't know what is wrong with her? Oh girl...
And I just looked so forward to the streamed MMs. Now, I have to go through some newspapers, maybe they know what is wrong there...

Re: Alexandra Dulgheru!!!
What did I find? NOTHING !
Any insider here with more information? That's just not understandable for me! Just have a look at the draw if she would have been #4 seed: Allgurin, Parra and Dushevina for a road to the semis?
I don't want to be mean, but she really, really has to have a good reason to pull out from there because she will lose another 130 points next week and won't have any smaller tournament to prepare for the big US Open series with its big tournaments, so no chance to gain some easy points before the US Open!
I'm happy she isn't injured, but that's even more cruel for a fan to be honest. I mean if she would have been injured, we would know what is wrong and could say when she will play again, but such a mystery and out of the blue?!
But on the photos from Wimbledon, she has already looked completely down, tired and unhappy. My honest opinion is that she simply took a break from the sport. I really have no other one and it's not that she was completely hopeless like for example Rezai, though she had some bad losses especially against higher ranked players. On the other hand she defeated clay specialists like Hercog, Zakopalova, Pous Tio in straights, as well as Craybas in Wimbledon...
What a year and imagine this season without the Miami points...
I really don't know what is going on, but I hope she will come back stronger than before!

I don't think. I watched her match in mixed and she played very good. She smiled a lot. Melzer looked very surprised Alexandra's game.
But I haven't idea, why she don't play any small tournament. I am therefore very worried.
