Re: Maria in Barcelona
Aww what a shame
Still, she fought back in the 2nd set and at least she made the final here rather than lose in the first round like she's done a lot so far this season. This is a step in the right direction at least.

Well,ok,i only tell his words without reacting...
So,he says that Maria's game is so stupid (yesterday,he said the same),she has no technic, her game is stereotyped, she will never reach the top 10,her best years were before and she has no future, yesterday she only won because Suarez was injured, she's just a ballbasher, she's unable to play on the net ,she doesn't know how to play on clay, she'll have troubles to stay in the top 50...Just examples,i've forgotten many.
And they cut just when Maria was about to talk...
PS : yesterday,he talked about an austrian who beat Venus in Houston this week

Yeah, she didn't look too sad, maybe she knew that it would have been tough with her 5 hours on the court yesterday or because she had no opportunities on this match.
She can be proud of her week, she won good matches and it will give her confidence for the next tournaments.Too bad that i couldn't hear her words anyways.
She destroyed a racket, that's unusual for her.

Re: Maria in Barcelona
Maria was a shadow of herself today I don't know what happened overnight, but she just never got into the match...
It must have been a combination of physical and mental tiredness, it was a really taxing day yesterday in both departments
Still it was great that she reached the final and regained atleast some of her confidence

Re: Maria in Barcelona
At least she got to the final. Vinci is really tough to beat right now, I guess.

Re: Maria in Barcelona
Vinci really should have beat Jankovic in Marbella so yes it's not a terrible loss. We should take away the positives from this tournament and there are a lot of them.

Re: Maria in Barcelona
I don't think you can be too hard on Maria. It's unfortunate that she had to play 2 matches in one day and then again the next day. The bagel in the 1st set wasn't really that surprising, it's happened before.
At least she got 4 wins and some confidence + hopefully some points
