Instead of using the Paszek thread all the time, why not have a seperate thread for each tournament? Mimi will play in PVB next week

It's okay. R1 is good. R2 is okay. QF(if she makes it that far) is also okay. We'll see. Maybe Schnyder and Wozniak will be upset early and Mimi will have a great tourney

She can beat either of them. Har Tru is not slow red clay and is very receptive to hard groundstrokes like Tamira's. Remember, Sharapova won at Amelia Island last year--I think that was the first or second Har Tru event she ever played. The main thing is the footing, which is slicker than red clay. If she adapts to that, and with Sanchez as her coach, she will be prepared for it, she has a very good shot at beating Schnyder, IMHO, because she has a bigger game. If she plays like she did at Miami, she will win that match. She was 3 games from killing Kuznetsova, who herself was only a couple of games from the final. Tamira is closer to breaking through than people think.

Dunno about Czink, though. Mimi beat her last summer in Montreal, but I've never seen her play before.

Wozniak's ranking is propped up by one result from last year. Wouldn't worry about her at all.

She has a pretty good draw IMO, IF she will play like she did in Miami.

If Tamira is "on" she should beat Patty, considering her poor form at the moment.

But first of all she needs to beat Czink

Who knows about Czink? The WTA site shows her record, and that she has some intriguing wins coupled with one-sided losses. Tamira beat her on hard at Montreal when she started playing better last summer, but it was close.

In 2007, Tamira lost in 2R of qualies at Amelia Island, falling 7 points to 5 in a 3rd set tiebreak to Schruff. Czink's record at Amelia Island shows that last year she won 2 matches in qualies, won her 1st round match against Dellacqua and then fell to AMG in 3 sets. So she must have some clay court game. I'm a little worried about this one, frankly, but if Tamira can sustain her current form from Miami, I think she has a good shot.

She had a few good wins in the last months, don't know if she has any weapons...
