Re: Sophie Letcher
I only saw the 2nd set and it looked like her evil twin was playing, returns hitting half way up the net, passing shots going wide. Even the serve looked softer. Can't imagine what the first set looked like. All Dubois had to do was keep the ball in play and she did a good job of keeping it deep.

Re: Sophie Letcher
Hopfully she actually plays. Her brother Chirs Letcher has been playing in Mexico recentlly so hopfully that is a good sign and it has encourged her to play.

Re: Sophie Letcher
yeah it makes sense that she'd be over there, i reckon Chris is based in Mexico since all his tournaments are around that area. my guess would be she's finally over the injury we thought she might have had and has been training in Mexico or where ever with Chris.

Re: Sophie Letcher
I'd be happy with Chris that he got Soph to play again if he weren't such a mysogynistic tool bag.

Re: Sophie Letcher
^ More info please?
Re Soph, yeah she was definitely injured because didn't she withdraw from her last tournament? Anyway, good to see her back. Quite odd for a teenager at a career high rank to chuck it in, so glad to hear that's not the case.

Re: Sophie Letcher
I'm with Petey on this one -- I'm just happy to see her back. Considering the amount of time that she's been away, I'm sure that in some ways it's gonna feel as if she's starting over from scratch. No point in bothering about results this early in the game. The important thing is that she's back out there and giving it a go.

Re: Sophie Letcher
Gavrilova was a very tough draw. She's made it to the QF of like the past 5 or 6 $25K or $50Ks she's entered. Next week's $25K in Mexico is slightly weaker so lets see what she does there. Then there's a $10K, so hopefully Sophie can start knocking up a few wins by then. Glad to see her back though!
