It seems that the better days are coming, really. Although, there is no very much space for further aggravation
It's only pity that some of those girls hadn't improve towards tour level significantly - Jurak, Ozegovic - or Kostanic, who won only one tournament in last 10 years, and it is 25k. For the others gorls, there are some more or less objective reasons...

I meant that the tournament won by Martic ($75K) is the highest-level tournament won by a CRO woman since 2002 (the tournaments Ancic won were at the $50K and $25K levels). Sorry for the confusion.

Looking at the list, this is the biggest tourney any of our girls won in the past 7 years. Hope it's a sign of better times for Croatian women's tennis.

Ivana became our 10th girl to win a title in this decade.

Lisjak's win in Monteroni last week is 4th title of our girls in '09, which equaled the number of titles won in '06 - things are looking nice. Let's see if we can match '03 with 5 titles.

But in '03, four of those five titles were 25k's and the 5th one was a 50k, while this year we have two 25k's, one 50k and two 100k's, so it's much better than '03 in terms of titles.
