Pre-Match Interviews:

Q: You two have played before and the outcome was pretty dominate from Mr.SerenaWilliams, what do you expect the outcome to be for this match?

SW: Well, you know, every match is different, but I know that if I take care of the things that I need to, on court, then I should do pretty well for myself. But I have to be careful, YoungGunner wants to win this match as much as I do, so I have to stay focused from the first ball to the last.

YG: Well, definitely the first match didn't go as I had hoped it would. I started off just being somewhat timid with my shot making and I put so much into trying to make up for it in the second set, I just completely burned myself out. I just couldn't do much after that. Hopefully I'll be in better shape and I'll be able to play the full match at 100%.

Q: What do you think your opponent's weakness is?

SW: I think that he's been working a lot on his serve, so I don't really know any weaknesses. I really need to be on my 'A' game.

YG: Sometimes he plays like a top 500 junior player.

Q: What is your strategy going into this match?

SW: Just to work on my shots and play each point, not to think about the point before or after, just to be completely focused on being in the moment.

YG: Just to be aggressive and not let him push me around. Put a lot of pressure on his serve and hopefully he'll back off on mine.

Q: Is it hard to play against one of your bestest friends in the whole world?

SW: I haven't played him yet -

YG: We've played 2 times before...

SW: But if you're talking about Matt-

YG:

SW: It's difficult, but I just focus on the ball and not to look at him.

YG: Aww. Well it's hard playing against Reg because sometimes he dips in his level and starts playing bad and it causes me to play bad as well.

Q: Who do you think is the better player?

SW: Oh that's easy, me. If I didn't think so, why would I want to play? I'd hope he'd think the same thing too.

YG: I think I am. He's got more expierence then I do but I think overall my fight and desire to win will beat him. If not this time then it's back to the drawing boards to try again. He's an amazing player but that wont stop me from wanting to give him a bag of bagels.

Q: Is there any on court behaivor issues you have with your opponent?

SW: None at all, he's the perfect sportsman.

YG: Can't say that I do. He's really passionate about the sport and I have a lot of respect for him.

Q: What is your prediction for the score to be?

SW: 6-1 6-0 6-0... I might make a couple of errors.

YG: 4-6, 1-6, 2-0 RET. He's out of shape like QuarterPoundeRena.

Q: Any last words?

SW: I hope it's a good match, but I feel confident.

YG: Bring it on.
