I arrived at the tennis center at 10 am, when all matches were just starting. I looked at the scoreboard and saw that Sweden is playing Hungary on center court. I was hoping to see Agnes but she didn't show up
Larsson vs Susanyi
Quite a easy match for Johanna. Her shots were too flat for Zsofia, and too fast as well.
Johanna is very cute... well so is Zsofia
But I've definitely become a Johanna fan. This girl has a lot of potential.
Arvidsson vs Marosi
There was a little confusion between some guy from Bulgarian team and the umpire about the water
The guy wanted still water for Katalin... the water's name is something like "Aura Spring" and he thought "spring" means "sparkling" so he thought it was carbonated water. The umpire explained that all the water is still and that "spring is season, like winder, summer, you know"... both team giggled about this
Sofia was shrugging her shoulders all the time
She has no idea what was wrong with her. She was moving too slow and couldn't reach a lot of balls. When she started to play more powerful and go for her shots - it was too late, she was down 1-4 in the second
She managed to get Katalin to the tiebreak, where she was down 1-4 again but she fought back. At some point I thought she could win the second set and possible the third but it was too late for her to come back, Marosi was close to winning... and that's what she did.
Larsson/Arvidsson vs Marosi/Arn
Have you seen Greta's WTA profile pic? If not, don't. It is amazingly fugly and Greta is such a beauty in person.
Almost all rallies were played from the baseline. The girls who were supposed to play at the net were just running around over and over and not really hitting the ball
Overall, the Swedes had advantage because they were way more powerful and that was hard to handle for the Hungarians
to be continued... :]
