I would guess that she chose not to play AO? I mean, she played almost every major Junior tournament last year, she's 18 this year & she was won a few 10Ks at a pro level. It only makes sense that she focus on pros now.

Re: Fed Cup
Should have taken a chance & play Sorana who is great when she's on.

Re: Fed Cup
Sori has by far the most powerful shots of all Romaniann girls and is because of that (even in her current form) the best player on HC among Romania's girls...
By the way, SIMONA I MISS YOU!

Re: Fed Cup
First match:
3:0 for the Netherlands
They even won the doubles!
Bertens/Hogenkamp def. Dulgheru/Niculescu 7:6 3:6 7:5
It's only a waste of time to talk about this performance...
The worst one from those two girls for a long time...
Not being able to beat a double with players outside the Top 200 and Moni calls herself a double specialist!
And of course they were not so tired because their single matches didn't last longer than an hour...
I will eraze this day from my mind and hope for better ones...

Re: Fed Cup

They REALLY should've won this
Now the only chance is to beat Hungary (possible) and for Hungary to beat the Netherlands and then win on matches/sets/games
Hungary can beat the Netherlands. Babos will lose to Krajicek, Arn might be able to beat Rus, and then the Hungarians MIGHT win the doubles...

Re: Fed Cup
But how should Romania win against Hungary with this performance...
Maybe have a try with Sori! She couldn't be worse than them!

Re: Fed Cup
suprising results... how could Dulgheru lose? I like Rus she´s a future of tennis but Alex is Top 30 she should have won but she lost very easy... Niculescu should have defeated Krajicek too....
