So many people are predicting her to make the 4th round
I really hope she can do it!
I do have to admit, she does have a pretty good draw But let's take it one match at a time. Even 1 match win this year at Wimby will be huge for her ranking. I think it will pretty much assure her a spot in the USO MD without needing a WC... GL!
Babos defeats Oudin in 3 sets. Not too surprised, really. Didn't think she would have it together at this point, but doing better than I thought she would. Would've been great to get one round here, but no luck. So on to the next
Mel didn't have a great serving day with 1 or 2 aces and, I think 5 DF. But, her second serve stats are remaining high. Not long ago they were floating around the high to low 20s. They've been 60% of points won or better on 2nd serves for the last several matches. I hope this is something she can carry into the hard court season. It's been a major improvement. Now to get the first serve working at the same time . Things are improving though, which is great to see. Keep working Mel

She will be playing in the Bank of the West Classic and the Mercury Insurance Open. Both WTA events and both are part of the US Open Series. Unless she gets a MD WC, she will be playing in the Qualifying Draw.
