Au contraire. Dogs don't stay out until 3 in the a.m., wake you up, come strutting in, not a say a word about where they've been all night, hope into bed and start rubbin' up against you lookin' for some lovin'.
Cats and guys do this all the time. (I've been on the receiving end from a cat, and the giving end as a guy, so I know whereof I speak--it usually doesn't work, btw. At least for straight guys).

I'm sorry, but I hate cats. I like dogs (except pit bulls and any others who are bred/trained to kill or attack without cause  ) and always had one growing up but I am allergic to them so I haven't had one in 17 years. Once my last dog died, my nose cleared right up. Always thought it was other things  #stupid |

Dogs all the way ! I don't like Cats at all : I've had some and since I had my dog : I infinitely had more fun with my dog than I've ever had with my cats ! I find cats boring ! My dog was the most beautiful pet I've ever had but since I left home, I don't know if my dog still lives and where is she ! It was an adorable Labrador Retriever ( female ). I Loved her so much ! When I was down, very anxious, I just had to take her in my arms and she made me feel much better. So Cats ? NEVER AGAIN ! Labrador Retrievers Ruleeee BIG TIME !

For obvious reasons, I view cats as miniature versions of other feline predators. I just can't get over that. However cute or cuddly a cat is, this is what I'm thinking first up. 
Hence I stay away from cats! 
Also, I've had dogs as pets pretty much my whole life, hence I love dogs better.

Most cats never bite, never scratch. Dogs can be way more dangerous than cats.

I like both, but now I prefer cats. I used to hate cats because I saw them as sneaky, secretive, & standoffish. Whereas dogs for the most part are overly friendly and approachable. But then some bastard left a kitty under my car. He was sooo tiny. So I took him in, and he would climb my leg, and sleep in my lap. Cats won me over at that moment and I realized they weren't that bad. Unfortunately I couldn't keep him because the place I stay in doesn't allow pets.  I hope he found a good home..
